English II - Into the Wild Multimedia Essay

Objective: Students will research their topics using eBooks, databases and other credible sources and students will create a presentation incorporating information and multimedia with proper MLA citations for all sources (Works Cited and in-text citations for all sources). Citations for Presentations

  • Noodletools

  • In-text citations throughout slide presentation (for ALL sources, including images, videos and other multimedia)

        • Example presentation with in-text citations

        • Noodletools will help you with the in-text citations

            • Click on OPTIONS next to your citation in your source list

            • Select IN-TEXT REFERENCE to get assistance with creating the in-text citation for every source

  • Works Cited - full citations

        • Create your full source list in Noodletools

        • To export your source list to a Works Cited document:

            • click on PRINT/EXPORT TO GOOGLE DOCS

            • FOR SLIDE PRESENTATIONS/PREZI: copy and paste these citations (keeping the proper format) to the last slides of your presentation

            • FOR A GOOGLE SITE: To embed your Works Cited on a Google Site,

                • export the source list to a Google doc to create the Works Cited page

                • Click on SHARE and change the sharing settings so that "anyone in the LRHSD" can view

                • On the Google Site, click on INSERT and select "Docs".

                • Find your Works Cited document and click on INSERT

            • FOR OTHER PRESENTATION OPTIONS: include the full Works Cited in the proper format at the end of or on a subpage of your presentation
