LIBRARY HOURS

6:35am-2:45pm*

*Due to current COVID rules, the library is closed to students before school and at lunch.

* To visit the library, students must complete the ASK THE LIBRARIAN form and wait for the librarian to email a library pass.

* To request a book, students should complete the ASK THE LIBRARIAN form. The book will be delivered to the classroom! Search for LIBRARY CATALOG to find the book you need.


Student Conduct

Students will be expected to exhibit RESPECT, EXCELLENCE, ACTION, and LEADERSHIP in the library always by:

· keeping voices low

· keeping hands, feet, and object to themselves

· using appropriate school language

· using library resources to work diligently towards academic excellence

· checking out and return and return materials correctly

· Following all library procedures

· Leading by maintaining a quiet, productive atmosphere

Student Visits

With an access pass given by the librarian, student are to enter the library and complete the DIGITAL LIBRARY SIGN IN.

Fines/ Fees

There is currently no charge for overdue books, however patrons will be charged for lost or damaged books. The charge for lost or damaged books is the original cost of the book entered in the Destiny system. Students having outstanding library fines/ fees for a previous LPSS schools will also be required to pay that debt prior to graduation.

Computers

1. Check out a computer from the circulation desk and receive a computer tag in exchange for your student ID

2. Go to the computer you are assigned with your computer tag visible.

3. Return the computer tag when finished and retrieve your student ID.

4. If you experience any problems with your computer, notify the librarian immediately.

5. Do not change any computer settings unless instructed to by the librarian.

Printing

1. There is no cost to use the library printers.

2. Do not print directly from the internet, this will result in the printing of unnecessary and excessive pages.

3. Highlight, copy, and paste needed passages into a Word or Google document; delete unneeded images, add necessary citation information, and print the

Word or Google document.
