All About me!

Welcome to 5th Grade ELA

Hi! I’m so excited to begin another amazing school year at J. Wallace James! This will be my 6th year teaching, and I’m thrilled to continue doing what I love, teaching 5th grade ELA!

I graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a B.S. in Early Childhood Education and an add-on certification in Elementary Education. I’m originally from Lake Charles, but Lafayette has become my permanent home over the last few years! I love being a part of this wonderful community and school.

Every year brings new adventures, and I can’t wait to learn and grow with all of you. I’m so excited for the books we’ll read, the stories we’ll write, and the memories we’ll make together. Let’s make this our best year yet!
