Class Overview
"The goal of early childhood education should be to activate the child's own natural desire to learn." -Maria Montessori
This year, students will receive learning through all areas of development: intellectual, language, physical, and social emotional within an appropriate early childhood environment. The integrated curriculums, chosen by the Lafayette Parish School System, focuses on all content areas such as literacy, numeracy, science, social studies and the arts.
About me
My name is Ellen Boudreaux! I am excited to be joining the J. Wallace James Elementary Arts and Technology Academy team! I received my certifications in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Mentor Teacher, and Teacher Leader from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. I also received my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Administration (M.Ed.) from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and I completed the Principal Institute Training through the Lafayette Parish School System.
I have a 3 year old son named Atticus, and a dog named Pierre. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I love to dance, sing, paint, sew, travel, and learn.
