How many books can I checkout?
1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade get 2 books.
Kindergarten & Prek get 1 book.
I returned my book, why is it still on my library account?
Students do self checkout, and self shelving, so if a book did not get checked in correctly (student forgot to scan, student scanned the wrong barcode, the computer had an error) it could be on the shelf in the library. Students are responsible for looking for their books.
I never have enough time to look for books in library.
Library checkout time is 10 minutes so that we can have a lesson. If you need to look for a specific book, you can use the Ls2 PAC library catalog to look for books in advance, record the call number, and search for that specific book when you come to library. If you need help with this, please ask the librarian. You may also place books on hold through LS2 PAC and they will be checked out and delivered to you when they come in.
Can I pay for a book by buying a new copy of the book?
We do not accept replacement books for lost or damaged items. Our books are special library bound items made to last and are processed by the vendor to add library barcodes and labels as necessary, so we can only take payments in exact cash at this time.
Can I donate books to the library?
If you would like to gift your gently used books to the library, we can take them to use as AR prizes for students. Because new library books must meet a variety of criteria and evaluation by the librarian, we cannot accept book donations for the library unless it is from a wish list curated by the librarian. Monetary donations for library books are at the discretion of administration.
