Choir Goals & Objectives
To establish and reinforce correct singing/musical techniques and skills.
To recognize, understand, and apply structural elements of melody, harmony, rhythm, and form from both the standpoint of performer and listener.
To improve the use of expressive elements such as dynamics, phrasing, and tempo.
To develop a sense of fulfillment, responsibility, and pride in quality performance.
To expand interest and knowledge of repertoire, performances, and artistic achievement from a variety of countries, societies, and cultures.
To cultivate a sense of identity, pride, group spirit, and improved self-image through participation in a successful performing ensemble.

About Mrs. Grumbine:
I am so excited to be spending my 4th year at Lakeshore Middle School creating music and memories! I have the best job in the world and and fortunate to be spending it with such awesome kids at a place like LMS!
I've previously worked as a PreK-6th general music teacher, a MS and HS band and choir teacher, the Healing Harmonies community choir director, and a private voice instructor. I graduated from Western Michigan University - GO BRONCOS!
In my free time, I love to travel, try new foods and restaurants, spend time outdoors, cook, and garden. I am married to Mr. (Alex) Grumbine, have a cat named Chip, and last April, we welcomed Gibson Grumbine to our family!
