This page is the math reflection for your year in math class. It should be filled out before your conference with your parents and should guide you in discussing how math has been this year and is progressing this semester. It should also allow you to develop a plan and goals to finish the year strong.
Please discuss the following topics as a family:
“Throughout this year in math class, we have learned about…”
1. probability
2. percents
3. unit rate
4. percent proportions

Something I found that was easy was graphing.
Something I found that was interesting was percents.
Something that was difficult for me was integers and rational numbers.
What is your current content grade?
3
What types of assignments make up my content grade?
The types of assignments that make up my content grade are tests and quizzes.
How have you prepared for any quizzes or assessments? Has your strategies been working?
To prepare for my quizzes or assessments, I will look back on my homework assignments for the unit to see what I have been struggling with. I will then practice those types of questions until I understand the concept and feel confident when answering.
What do you think your work habit grade should be?
My work habits grade should be a 3.5.
What does your work habit grade mean, and why should you feel that it is important?
My work habits grade means if I'm turning in assignments on time, how much work I'm showing, and how much I show that I understand a certain concept. I should feel that this grade is important because it shows my ability to be responsible with due dates and what I need to work on in different units and topics.
Do you have any missing assignments?
I have one missing homework assignment because I was absent when it was assigned during TSA. I am currently working hard to fix that and turn it in as soon as possible.
Do you turn in any assignments late?
The only time that I ever turn an assignment in late is if I was absent when it was assigned.
Why do you think we look at this information?
I think that this information is looked at because it shows what I understand and how well I can complete assignments efficiently and with my best work.
How does homework impact your math content grade?
My homework impacts my math content grade by preparing me for tests and quizzes so that I can get a good content grade.
After the discussion about math, discuss the following:
Does your grade represent your work in class and at home?
What do YOU want your grade to be in math by the end of the semester? Why?
How are you going to achieve this goal?
How can Mr. Tuke help you succeed?
If there are any questions, please call Mr. Tuke over when he is free to talk.
