Reading Goal

I am a reader, therefore, I will read 25 books this year!

To help expand ourselves as readers this year, I challenge you to read 30 just right level books within various genres. You may track your genres on the hard copy in your reading folder or

Genre Tracking

For each book that you read, please complete a reading blog entry. Your entry should include the title of the book, the author’s name, and the genre. Don’t forget to underline or italicize book titles.

The paragraph will be a short summary (don't forget to begin with an IVF topic sentence). Try not to give away the ending. The conclusion of your paragraph should be your thinking. Discuss some of the main characters. How did they change as the book progressed? Discuss the author’s message or central theme. Explain why you would or would not recommend this book to others. Please type these in your blogging doc first before you post it!!

  • Tell about your connections to the book. (How it reminds you of yourself, people you know, or something that has happened in your life.)

  • Write about something in the book that surprised you or that you found interesting.

  • Describe the author's message.

  • Tell what you learned from the book.

  • Describe your challenges or successes as a reader with this book.

No matter which option you choose, please type these in your blogging doc first before you post it!! This way you don't lose your work and can go back and edit easily.
