You will trace the journey of Samuel Collier. As you read, create a Google map. Add markers for significant locations, and describe the the events that take place at each setting.
Segment 1: (Write at least three to five sentences describing each setting and the events at each setting.)
London, England
Canary Islands (Chap. 5)
Nevis, West Indies (Chap. 6)
Mona, Jamaica (page 50 - Chap. 7)
Segment 2: (Write two or three paragraphs describing the events at Jamestown.)
Jamestown, Virginia
Segment 3: (Write one or two paragraphs describing the events at Point Comfort.)
Point Comfort, Virginia (starting about page 206)
You may also include a line to trace the journey of Samuel and the Susan Constant. (If you want to include description with the line, feel free to do that. It would show a deeper understanding of the text.)
In Google Drive select "New" and choose "More." Choose "Google My Maps" to create your new map. Then, you should add the Google Map to the Google Classroom assignment so that your teacher can see your progress.
