Give to Ride ~ Ride to Give

Join us as we ride across Canada to support local charities!

Welcome to Pedal for a Purpose!

As of this spring (2022) we have 10 bikes and smart trainers in our schools. Students and staff are busy logging their kilometres, challenging each other and themselves along the way!

Bikes are now in use at QE, RP, JK, WC, and division office as well as a few bikes/trainers that move from school to school upon request.

LPSD students, staff, and celebrity riders will be cycling across Canada using smart trainers which change resistance on hills, flats, and downhills! The smart trainer software, Zwift, will track the distance we ride.

In some cases, students will be asking for small donations to support their part of the LPSD cycle relay (Give to Ride). Collected donations will be given to local charities (Ride to Give).

This relay would not be possible without the generous donation of equipment and resources from First General Services, Grindin' Gears Bikes n' Boards, and the Lloydminster Public School Division.

UN Sustainable Development Goals

Our project will support local Lloydminster charities and will draw attention to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Please read about them here!

Thank you to our generous sponsors for the equipment and our volunteers for the start of the relay in March, 2020.
