meet the Ridgeview Counselors

My name is Mrs. Solis and this will be my 6th year at Ridgeview and my 25th year as a school counselor.  

I live in Liberty with my husband and have two wonderful stepchildren.  When I'm not at school, I love doing just about anything art- or craft-related such as pottery, weaving, drawing and woodblock printing.  

I also enjoy  traveling, gardening and cooking with my husband.  Being a part of this Ridgeview family is a true blessing and I look forward to being a part of your child's education!

Hello! My name is Michala Brown and this is my second year as a school counselor but I was a Resiliency Specialist at Ridgeview for two years prior.  This May I will complete my Master's in Counseling from the University of Missouri Kansas City. This fall I will begin the steps towards becoming a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist! 

When I am not working, I like to spend time with my husband Dane and our dogs Hank and Bobbie Jean. We love traveling, trying new restaurants and enjoy the outdoors. I also enjoy spending time with my family. Especially going to Chiefs games!

I am so excited for this school year and to be at Ridgeview for my second year! I know it is going to be a great year!
