NoMUNC II

December 7, 2024

Northland Model United Nations Conference

Hosted by Liberty North Model UN

We would like to invite you and your outstanding students to the upcoming Northland Model UN Conference (NoMUNC) — a one-day simulation of the United Nations for students who are interested in international diplomacy and foreign affairs. NoMUNC will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024 and is hosted by the Liberty North Model UN team.

NoMUNC is designed for students from all across the Kansas City region to come together and hone their Model UN abilities during an intensive, yet fun-filled day. During the conference, students will take on the role of a diplomat, engage in independent research, debate their selected country’s position in one of the committees of the United Nations, and become well-versed Model UN delegates.

The Northland Model UN Conference is for students of any level of Model UN experience. The program offers students to select among various committees and experience academic simulations suitable for novice and experienced Model UN delegates alike, allowing all to learn and improve their research, debate, caucus, and public speaking skills. If you are unfamiliar with Model UN, this brief video provides a good overview as to how Model UN works.

Regular registration is now open and will close on November 1st. To register and get more information about committees, due dates, and more, please visit our conference website. We will be updating the website as we move closer to the conference date. There is a delegate fee of $10 per student. The delegate fee includes the cost of a pizza lunch.

If you have any questions, suggestions, or concerns regarding the upcoming conference, please do not hesitate to contact us. We look forward to creating an amazing NoMUNC!

Best wishes,

Kurt Gates, Liberty North Model UN Advisor
