Grading
I will follow Lincoln Public Schools’ grading scale: 20% Formative and 80% Summative. This means most of your grade comes from summative unit assessments/projects. To prepare you for these assessments I will assign formative work that matters, not work that will just keep you busy. There will be short quizzes over this formative work to help me see if students are understanding concepts. After tests, I will collect notebooks and grade them according to a rubric. Students will fill out the rubric and tell me what grade they think they have earned. I will not grade a notebook unless the student has graded it themselves. Lastly, a summative final will be given at the end of each semester. Your grade is in your hands. It will be what you earn through formative assignments and summative assessments.

2. As a class, we will make a rule regarding cell phones and headphones
3. If you are gone you have one day for every day missed to make up missing homework. Do not ask what you missed during class, only before or after. It will also be posted in the class and on Google Classroom.
4. If you will be gone for a school event you must let me know ahead of time and I will give you the material that you will be missing.
5. If you miss a test, you have two days to make up the test, regardless if the missed day was for a school event or sickness.
6. Be safe in the lab.
7. Cheating or plagiarism will result in a ZERO AND A REFERRAL.
8. Keep your textbook at home or in your locker. I will let you know two days ahead of time if it is needed in class.
9. After classes/labs, materials used must be returned to the original place. Points will be taken away from groups not following this rule.
