Searching for Books

• Once logged in, you can start searching for books by using the search bar at the top.

• You can search by title, author, keyword, or even subject.

• You can also browse categories of books from the home page.

• Destiny Discover will display a list of search results.

• Click on a book to see its details, including the cover, summary, and availability.

Checking Out and Holding Books

• To check out a physical book, the student must come to the school library.

• Have your student write down the title, call number, and sublocation of the book to be able to locate it in the library.

• If the book is checked out, your student may place a hold on the book from their account to be the next person in line to check out that book.
  Students are limited to 2 books on hold at a time.

• Your student will be notified when the book on hold is ready to be checked out.

• Remember to return the book to the library by the due date or renew the book at the library.

 Digital Resources

• Destiny Discover offers limited access to eBooks that can be checked out through the student’s Sora account.

• You can access digital resources by searching for them just like you would with physical books.

• Notice the icon in your Destiny search that shows it is an eBook.

• Click on the Open button to be directed to the student’s Sora account.

• Some resources may be available for immediate reading, while others may require you to borrow them or place them on hold.

My Account 

• Click on "My Stuff" or your username to access your account information.

• In "My Stuff," you can see the books you have checked out, their due dates, and any fines.

• You can also create and manage lists of your favorite books.

• The favorite list is created by clicking on the heart icon when searching for titles.
