Introduction

Hi! My name is Amy Gonzales and I am the music teacher at Wilder.  I have been doing my dream job of teaching music for the past 28 years in LPS. I love my job and I love the LPS community. I am originally from Missouri but have lived in Colorado for the past 28 years with my amazing husband and two children. In 2023 - 2024 I will have a senior at Heritage High School! 

I graduated from Evangel University with a Bachelor of Music Education and recently completed my Masters in Learning Technologies from the University of Colorado. I have a level II Orff certification and teach using the Orff Schulwerk approach. What is Orff?

When you walk into my classroom you will see children drumming, dancing, playing xylophones, small percussion instruments, singing, and acting. We have fun while we are actively engaged in learning! My goal for my music classroom is that all children will leave elementary school with an understanding and love of music that will last a lifetime.
