About Me

Hi there!

My name is Allison Rios, and I sure am happy to have called LPS "home" for the past 12 years! This is my 15th year serving students in special education, and it is such a joy to be surrounded by incredible learners every day. I look forward to continuing to spend time with the Gaskill community and working alongside incredible humans. I'm a San Diego native; however, I received my B.A. in elementary education with a minor in history from the University of Northern Colorado (go Bears!), and I currently hold my Master's degree in special education from the University of Colorado Denver. 

My wonderful husband, Marco, and I have two active little boys, Mason and Max (who are also Gaskill Trailblazers!), as well as a scruffy terrier named Finn. Aside from teaching, I love Taylor Swift, reading, playing in the yard with my boys, cross-stitching, and all things musicals (especially Hamilton and Six).
