Welcome to the Orion science website!
What a crazy year 2020 has been! We have been lucky to be able to conduct class in person at least a few days a week, but now, unfortunately we find ourselves 100% online for the remainder of the year... Bummer! But, that being said, I am excited that we have had the time we have to prepare for this time to come. You have all been so resilient this year and have done such a great job rolling with the punches. You are ready for this next adventure, you know where to find things and you know who to ask if you don't! You all have some of the best computer skills I have ever seen in a group of 7th graders and you are respectful of each other and your teachers which goes a long way! It is up to you to continue doing what you know you need to do to be successful and I know you can do it! Let's make the rest of 2020 Awesome by finishing strong!
Hi, I'm Eric Andrews, Team Orions Science teacher here at Goddard. I have been teaching middle school science for 18 years, 9 of which have been here at GMS!
I have a BA in Biology from Metropolitan State College in Denver, a masters degree in eLearning and Design from the University Of Colorado, Denver and a masters degree in Educational Administration from Argosy University, Denver.
I love the content I teach the the kids I teach it to. I have a vested interest in our district as both of my children (John - 15, Heritage and Kylie- 21, CU) go/went to LPS schools and my wife, Liz, works as an instructional coach at Centennial Academy down the hill from Goddard.
I feel confident that this years 7th graders will do really well this year as they have a lot working in their favor! They are hard workers, they have been incredibly resilient and patient with the almost weekly changes through the first quarter of the year! To top it off they are one of the nicest groups of kids I have ever worked with which makes it a pleasure to be going through this year with them!
If you have any questions please to not hesitate to reach out to me at eandrews@lps.k12.co.us
