About Ms Nolan

Hiking in Zion National Park

Ms. Nolan went to high school in Lakewood, and graduated from Metro State Denver in 2011 with a degree in Biology. She is currently working towards her masters degree in School Administration.

After college, she moved to California and taught middle school science for six years before returning to Colorado and starting at AHS last year.

Ms. Nolan loves talking about:

    • Weird science stuff
    • Traveling (especially to Japan and the US national parks)
    • Dogs
    • Geek things (Zelda, Marvel, ComicCon)
    • Music (old-school soul, 2000's emo rock, classic rock)
    • Anything! I will be on your side, and listen to whatever you want to talk about.

Why do I teach? My focus as a teacher is on building meaningful relationships with my students, first and foremost. Beyond that, I want my students to leave my class with a greater appreciation of science and the world around them, along with useful science skills that can be applied to other areas beyond my class.
