I grew up in Winchester, Massachusetts, and Centennial, Colorado. I, now, live in Highlands Ranch with my husband and two sons, Zach (11th grader) and Austin (9th grader), and a 3-year-old daughter, Maisy. In my spare time, I love to scrapbook, read and go out to dinner!
I earned my BA from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln in Secondary Education. Then I earned my Master's Degree from the University of Phoenix in School Counseling. Since that time, I have completed dozens of additional classes continuing my own education including current teaching and learning strategies, best practices in reading and writing, and 21st Century Learning.
This is my 26th year in education, all in middle school! I look forward to a great school year with you!
I grew up in Littleton, Colorado. Teaching is my second career and my passion. I have a Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science and a Master's degree in Special Education. I have been in education for 18 years. I spent the first 17 years teaching at the elementary level and this is my second year at Euclid. It has been an incredible journey!
When I am not teaching, I love reading, cycling, hiking, and spending time with my family-- I love to do just about anything outdoors. I have an amazing adult daughter, and you may recognize my wonderful partner, Mr. Hamilton, who also teaches here at Euclid.
I am originally from Illinois, but have been in Colorado for 8 years. I received my teaching degree from Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin and and have my Masters degree in Educational Technology. I began teaching in Wisconsin where I was a 5th grade teacher for two years along with a high school boys and girls tennis coach. Once I moved to Colorado, I taught 5th grade up in Fort Collins for 4 years. This past year was my fourth year at Euclid and teaching 6th grade.
I enjoy watching Chicago sports, especially the Cubs and Blackhawks. I also love being outdoors, whether that is hiking, golfing, playing tennis, or just taking in the sights. I am extremely excited for my second year at Euclid!
I am a Colorado native and am entering my 20th year in education. My teaching career began in South Dakota working in a small, rural school on first the Pine Ridge Reservation followed by the Rosebud Reservation. Within those years, my experience included 4th grade teacher, 2nd/3rd grade, 6th/8th grade, literacy coach, and principal. After five years, I decided to return to my home state where I served as a Gifted and Talented Facilitator and Literacy Specialist. I served in the Littleton District Office as the Student Learning Support Specialist. I am thrilled to be entering my eighth year at Euclid!
In my free time, I am an avid reader and love photography. When not curled up with a book, I am often found with my family remodeling houses or traveling.

I was born and raised in Colorado! I moved to California and got my degree in Elementary Education from Biola University. From there, I taught at an International school in Guatemala and volunteered at an orphanage for a few months. Because of that experience, I developed a passion for working with students in Special Education. When I moved back to Colorado, I earned my Master’s degree in Teaching that focused on Special Education. This is my sixth year as a special education teacher at Euclid Middle School. I love being a teacher and getting the opportunity to influence students to make good decisions and to encourage them to do their best. I am so excited to work with students again this year!
