I am so excited to be starting my second year here at Ford Elementary! My name is Emma Myers (Ms. Emma), and I am delighted to be your music teacher. 

I attended the University of Colorado at Boulder where I graduated in 2022 with a Bachelor's in Vocal/General Music Education and a minor in Sociology. I completed my student teaching with both elementary and high school students, but have always had a deep love for elementary general music. I have spent time teaching private piano, voice, and ukulele lessons, working as a nanny, teaching trauma-informed Yoga to adults and adolescents in mental health treatment, and as an Instructional Aid in a high school Special Education setting. I am thrilled to have found my way back to my first love of elementary music! I am deeply passionate about the arts, education, and creating equitable experiences for all students. 

I am originally from Greeley, Colorado, but have lived in Boulder, Denver, and Santa Cruz, CA. I love spending time in nature, hiking, animals, hanging out with my two cats Poppy and Willoughby, my partner Lewis, spending time with my family and friends, reading, cooking (and eating), and of course, music! 

I'm looking forward to another great year at Ford!
