About Me

I am starting my first year at Arapahoe High School this school year with 19 years of teaching experience. Most of my teaching career involves teaching intervention reading and writing classes.

I grew up in Littleton and attended school at Littleton Public Schools from 1st through 9th grade before my family moved to Southern California where I graduated from high school. I later returned to Colorado as an adult with no intention of ever leaving this beautiful state again. My undergraduate degree in Social Sciences is from the University of Northern Colorado and I my received masters degree from Grand Canyon University in Special Education.

When not at work, besides spending time with my family, I enjoy outdoor activities consisting of hiking, cross country skiing, bicycling, camping and gardening. Reading and gaining knowledge of new information is always an interest for my inquiring mind as well. In addition, travel is continuously a passion for mine. I have many travel plans for my future in mind. When there is a travel adventure to be had, I'm game!
