About Ms. Hindman

Who Is This Woman Teaching My Child?

Faith Hindman

I am a Colorado native and grew up here in Littleton Public Schools. I attended Twain, Powell, and Arapahoe. I love Colorado and the Littleton community, and have never quite been able to leave it! When I am not teaching I enjoy hiking, going to the mountains, seeing friends, and traveling. Really all of the stereotypical Colorado things. I have two happy (and mischievous) dogs, Heidi and Abbey. If you ask me about them I will gladly tell you way too many stories about their antics.

Welcome to your 5th Grade year at Ford Elementary.

I am so excited to begin our journey together!

A Little Bit About My Background:

I attended Metropolitan State University of Denver, where I graduated with my bachelors in Elementary Education with an endorsement in culturally and linguistically diverse education. I was lucky enough to start my official teaching career here at Ford as a long term sub in 5th grade. I am beyond thrilled to be back for my 3rd year with your amazing students! Before pursuing my teaching license I worked as a teachers aid in a preschool just down the road from Ford, and I teach swim lessons on the weekends. If you can't tell I just can't get away from teaching, my school year and summer is filled with amazing opportunities to work with wonderful kids, learning in all capacities!

What To Expect In My Classroom:

I strongly believe in fostering independent and self-empowered learners. One of my main focuses is to build trusting relationships. With trust, self autonomy flourishes. And here at Ford we have so many opportunities for students to take on new responsibilities and become leaders in our school. I strive to be up front with my expectations and flexible in helping students reach their full potential. In support of this goal I also strive to have clear and consistent communication with families. When our whole community comes together in support of our students, they thrive!
