My name is Susan Hall. I have been at LPCS since the doors opened 27 years ago!! Before joining the 5th and 6th-grade team, I was the school librarian, which was a lot of fun! I am thrilled to be on this team and to focus on my love of teaching reading and writing. I earned my master's degree in Writing and Literacy Curriculum Development in 2019 from the University of Colorado, Denver.
I love helping students to see themselves as writers and fostering a love of reading. Learning about authors, the writing process, and how to use different forms of writing to express thoughts is one of my passions. Seeing students grow and realize they have the ability to confidently express their thoughts through many different forms brings me joy! ~ Ms. Hall
Okay, first off, I'm an ocean lover, sorry to all you mountain lovers! I feel so at peace at the ocean, collecting sea glass, and just walking along the shore listening to the waves. I grew up in Maine and moved to Colorado over 30 years ago. I love it here, having so many days of sunshine makes me happy and my children love the mountains.
I have two children, Jordan and Madison, who both went to LPCS from K - 8 grade. Jordan earned his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics and works for a company based in California, and he is moving to New York City this fall. My daughter Madison graduated with a Civil Engineering degree and is living and working in Portland, Oregon. We have a lot of fun when we're together and we love traveling!
I have a sweet dog named Finn that we adore! He is an Australian Shepherd and will be five years old on November 8. He keeps me on my toes and out walking for miles a week!!
My hobbies include reading, cooking, knitting, quilting, walking, and spending time with my children and friends.
Well-nourished and hydrated bodies and brains help contribute to student success. Please send a healthy, nut-free snack and a water bottle daily with your child. Please do not send Cheetos or Takis of any kind as the different colored powders are difficult to clean off fingers, desks, and papers. Thank you!

If you would like to dontate items from Amazon for our classroom, just scan the QR code to the right. Please be sure to add for Ms. Hall for ease of delivery. The school gets so many boxes that it makes it hard for them to deliver boxes to a particular teacher if they aren't labeled. Thank you in advance. :)
Google Classroom is the main hub where students will go daily for assignments, homework, and announcements.
