About Me

I take great pride in being a Colorado native. I grew up in Arvada and graduated from Arvada West High School. My Bachelor of Arts in Elementary and Middle School Education degree was earned at the University of Northern Colorado. I student taught at Powell before completing my education degree and was lucky enough to get a full time job at Powell 25 years ago.

At Powell, I have held many different positions including NJHS Advisor, Intramural Director, PAC Representative, Technology Committee Member and PRIDE Advisor, Science Department Chairperson. I enjoy seeing my students outside of the classroom environment, so I have also coached many teams at all grade levels during my time at Powell.

My husband is a P.E. teacher at Newton Middle School. We have two daughters (Freshman in College at BHSU and 4th grade). The whole family loves sports and we participate, coach, and watch many different athletic events. However, our favorite way to spend our time as a family is just being together and enjoying laughs as we all grow up.

I am looking forward to working with you (and your parents) this year. I know great growth is in our future!
