Occupational Therapist

Gretchen Astone

I grew up in Wyoming and have lived in Colorado for 24 years. I received my occupational therapy degree from the University of North Dakota. I’ve been an occupational therapist since moving to Colorado and I love this profession. I worked in the hospital setting for 11 years and have been in the schools for the last 14 years. Most recently I’ve been at Twain Elementary serving as the OT. I love working with kids and value the work I do with special education teams and general education teachers. I have a passion for helping a variety of kids be successful in school.

My interests outside of work include spending time with my family and friends. As a family we enjoy traveling, skiing in the beautiful Colorado mountains, hiking, and paddleboarding. I have two teenage children who are athletic and keep us active and bustling around.

It is a privilege to be part of the team opening Dr. Justina Ford Elementary. This new chapter is exciting and I’m looking forward to working with the Ford community.
