I am thrilled to be a part of the Ford family and to collaborate with students, families, staff, and educators in fostering passionate hearts and innovative minds.
My journey in education began in my home state of Texas, where I dedicated the first two decades of my career to teaching kindergarten through fourth grade. Throughout my career, I have been an active member of instructional leadership teams, which have allowed me to stay current with instructional practices and set goals for continued campus improvement. My experience includes serving as a state testing coordinator and working extensively on curriculum writing and development.
I hold a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences in Elementary Education, with a major in Applied Technology and Performance Improvement. Additionally, I earned an M.A. in Educational Leadership and Principal Licensure from Western Governors University.
Outside of education, I am happily married to my high school sweetheart of 20 years. We have two wonderful children, Izabela, 17, and Ivan, 14. They bring immense joy to my life—Izabela and I share a love for horseback riding, while Ivan and my husband enjoy hunting, fishing, and sports. I am passionate about reading, decorating, and outdoor activities, but my greatest passion remains teaching and advocating for the growth of both learners and educators.
I believe that education is a collaborative effort among students, teachers, administrators, and families. I welcome your feedback and questions. I am here to support you in any way I can.
I look forward to partnering with you at Dr. Justina Ford Elementary!
