Hello and welcome to Newton Middle School! I'm happy to have you in my Social Studies class! Google Classroom will be our “learning hub” throughout the year. All classwork will be posted by a weekly schedule to help with organization throughout the year. It's going to be a great year!
About me...
My name is Kathy Nash, and I am so excited to be at Newton Middle School. This is my first year teaching middle school. Prior to Newton, I taught at Ralph Moody Elementary for 22 years. I taught 4th grade for my first 14 years and Gifted and Talented for the last eight years. I've taught all subjects in elementary school and all grade levels throughout my GT enrichment classes. During my years at Moody, I earned a Masters in Literacy, my GT Endorsement and my Read Act Designation. I loved my time at Moody Elementary, but I'm excited for this new adventure teaching Social Studies - such an interesting content area.
In my personal life, I am married to my husband Chris. Our pride and joy is our son Jack. He is 10 years old. We love to travel and enjoy the beauty of places around oceans and mountains.
