Welcome to Ford

I am excited to start my 3rd year at Dr. Justina Ford Elementary. I grew up and attended school in Texas where I earned my bachelors and masters degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders. We decided to move to Colorado to enjoy all that this state has to offer.

My weekends typically involve spending time with my husband and two kids Calia and Jackson. I love to hike, read, binge watch crime series, puzzle, and simply be outdoors. Maximus is our rescue cat. He loves laps, food, and having his picture taken!

My passion has always been to work with students with unique needs in a school environment. My career started almost 20 years ago in an elementary school. This is where I love to be!  Throughout the years I have had the opportunity to provide parent and teacher trainings on a variety of topics, supervise assistants, facilitate and integrate Assistive Technology and Augmentative Communication, and conduct district Autism Assessments. Communication is the most important asset to becoming a successful adult and my role is to ensure all students can be effective communicators!
