I am a Colorado native. I grew up in Colorado Springs and moved to the Highlands Ranch area 27 years ago. I served as principal at Mark Twain Elementary from 2017 - 2020 and began at Dr. Justina Ford Elementary in 2021. I am excited for year two with our wonderful Fox Community. To serve in this outstanding district is a privilege and I’m very grateful for the opportunity to work among such talented educators.

I graduated from Colorado State University with a BS In Human Development and Family Studies and earned my Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix and my Principal Licensure through Lamar University in Texas. I have taught 3rd - 5th grade and also worked as a Response to Intervention Specialist before I moved into administration in 2014.

Outside of school, I enjoy cooking, gardening, running, biking, four-wheeling, and camping. I have two children, Sam who works as a ski and snowboard rep for a variety of companies, and Ben, who serves as a firefighter in the Colorado Springs Fire Department. Our family includes two dogs, Millie, a one year old German Shorthaired Pointer, and Moose, a Catahoola Leopard Dog and Australian Shepard mix.

I’m delighted to be principal at Dr. Justina Ford Elementary and am committed to doing what I can to make every student and parent feel they are a valued member of the school community.
