AP Government

Hello Students (and family members).

AP U.S. Government and Politics is a Fall Semester course -- the AP Exam is in May 2025!!!

The course is a fun and interesting way to learn about the system of government and politics in the United States.  The course is a "US Constitution" based examination of government and politics.  This means the content of the course is "centered" around the US Constitution.  In order to understand the system of government the course uses "Foundational Documents" and key "Supreme Court" cases, as well as historical and current events as "case studies".

As your teacher, I try to balance your work load outside of class with covering the required content along with interactive and engaging activities that will help you gain the knowledge needed to be an active citizen in the world's greatest democracy (and pass the AP Exam with a "3" or higher in May!!).

Always feel free to email me with any questions or clarifications...it is better to ask...remember--

"Smart people ask questions!!
