About Me
I was born and raised in Colorado Springs where I graduated from Liberty High School then went to Michigan State University for Microbiology. After one year, I moved to Washington D.C. to work with City Year AmeriCorps at Ketcham Elementary as a co-teacher for first grade math where I discovered my love and passion for teaching! I returned to Colorado after that year in D.C. and graduated from the University of Northern Colorado. I am getting married in October to my future wife who is a music teacher! I love playing tennis, watching Netflix, writing, and rooting for the Colorado Avalanche and Denver Broncos; Go Avs!
Education:
BA in Biological Sciences, University of Northern Colorado
Teaching Certificate, Secondary Education, University of Northern Colorado
Schedule
Classes 1, 3, 5: Science
Classes 2, 4, 6: Social Studies
Planning: Periods 7 and 8
How does the schedule work with split science and social studies?
Half of the periods for one class will be focused on Science and the other half will be focused on Social Studies. Typically, every day will rotate between Science and Social Studies; for example: one week students will have Science on Monday, Wednesday and Friday; and they will have Social Studies on Tuesday and Thursday. Sometimes, there may be multiple days of the same subject in a row if they are working on a project.
