Hi, I'm Will Kurtz

I will use Google Classroom as our primary assignment platform with a Weekly Agenda. On the agenda and in class, I will indicate how all assignments will be turned in and due dates
I will be responding to emails on weekdays with a 24 hour response time
I grew up going through the LPS district, Wilder to Goddard and on to LHS. After graduation, I attended Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA (mainly because I could still sneak away to the ski hill) and graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. I then moved to Denmark to work as a field engineer on offshore platforms in the North Sea. After Denmark, I moved to Houston to unthaw and continue working as a manufacturing automation project engineer and complete an MBA. In 2020 I moved back to Littleton working as a design engineer consultant while starting a property management company.
My journey to EPIC started as a mentor in the Business and Entrepreneurship program, helping students with their product designs and business plans. I was in awe of the community where students can learn in such a hands-on manner while also collaborating and building professional skills. Most importantly, EPIC is a place to succeed AND fail while always growing more confident in your post-secondary future. I look forward to furthering these EPIC attributes in my role as a Business Instructor and Work Based Learning Coordinator.
I will save you the pain of reading through a long list of typical Colorado things that most everyone else enjoys doing and instead list some more "unique" things:
Over researching DIY house projects and sometimes completing them
Roasting (and burning) coffee
Tinkering at my local makerspace (woodworking, rapid prototyping, electronics, Frankenstein projects)
Finding weird athletic events to participate in (see above fishing/relay race, NAS-CARP)
