Mindful Practices

Mindfulness is a powerful tool to help children and adults with a wide range of concerns from lack of focus to stress, anxiety, and overwhelmed feelings.

It is our intention at LPCS to provide lessons and access to strategies for all students everyday.

Through sharing a set of core values, we seek to encourage a learning community where everyone feels physically and emotionally safe and can do their personal best every day.

Our Core Values

PBIS

Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is an approach which teaches and encourages students to make good choices through behavior education and recognition of efforts and achievements.

Student Leadership

Students are valued members of our community and participate in service and civic engagement through leadership groups including Student Council, National Junior Honor Society, Sources of Strength and Student Assistants.

Information and Registration

Junior High Enrichment Programming

Enrichment programming is a variety of optional, non-academic clubs, classes and organizations designed to uplift student voice, promote engagement by choice, provide options to meet the multiple needs of students and connect participation with interest, learning, and belonging rather than grades.

Parent Information Nights

With the support of our Community Wellness Coordinator we are pleased to have the opportunity to spend time with parents sharing information that supports wellness, learning, and strong social connections.

School Safety

School safety is of the utmost importance at our school. LPCS uses locking entrance and exit doors during school hours. The main office has a video camera monitoring the entrance. We support our staff with ongoing training in the areas of first aid, CPR, school safety and preventative protocols. To help ensure the safety of students, staff, and volunteers at LPCS, the Accountability Committee has purposely omitted details of our school’s safety and emergency plans.
