Why I Teach

I teach because when I was in high school I had a teacher that asked me if I wanted to join the wrestling team. It was my senior year and I hadn't been involved in my school at all up until that point. After I joined the team it changed the way I looked at the school. I really enjoy math and the ideas and the challenges that mathematics presents. I would like to be able to reach out to my students and get them involved in the school through mathematics.

I want to make math enjoyable and interesting for students, to give them a reason to want to continue learning about math and the applications of math in jobs today.
