I truly love being a part of this strong community rich with tradition.
I want to take a minute to introduce myself. I grew up in Monroe, Wisconsin which is the most stereotypical place you could think of when you think of Wisconsin. It is a farming community and one of the largest cheesemaking towns in the state. My high school mascot was a cheesemaker for goodness sakes!
I graduated college from UW-Platteville with a Bachlors degree in Education with an emphasis in Art. I taught in Walworth, Wi (where they make Kikkoman Soy Sauce) for two years before moving west. “What brought you out to Colorado?” you might be thinking. Well, my husband grew up in Littleton and we both love Colorado - the landscape, weather and activities - so we decided to move our family here in 2013 (see family pics below).
My absolute favorite thing to do is create ceramics. It might be safe to say that I have an obsession with mugs. I strive to make the perfect mug that has a comfortable handle, wonderful shape and beautiful design. Another one of my favorite activities is watching T.V. Some of my favorite shows are The Office, Parks and Rec, Alone and Glow Up. If you are as big of an Office fan as me you will know that the character Creed and I have something in common. See the intro of Season 7 Episode 25 to see if you can figure out what it is. I also love creating/ finishing projects around my house no matter how big or small. The list could go on and on because I love to do so many things but I’ll try to keep this brief- excited to share more with you when I see you in class!
