Welcome to AP Pre-Calculus.
AP Pre-Calculus is a course in which students will explore everyday situations using mathematical tools and lenses. Through regular practice, they build deep mastery of modeling functions, and examine scenarios through multiple representations. Students will learn how to observe, explore, and build mathematical meaning from dynamic systems, an important practice for thriving in an ever-changing world.
Two resources will be used. The first text Pre-Calculus : Graphical, Numerical, Algebraic AP Edition by Demana/Waits/Foley +. A workbook will also be used. It is written by Lou Berlin, former Heritage teacher and petroleum engineer.
If you want to know more about the general guidelines for our class, you can look at the course expectations (link above).
Have a successful school year!
