As a first grade teacher at Sandburg Elementary, I am committed to creating  a community where every person can be their authentic self and feel that they belong. I want to create an inspiring learning environment that is more than just a classroom - a place where all students have equitable opportunities to wonder, explore, share, and grow, a home away from home! 

Each and every day, we will gather in a culturally responsive space where students feel safe and are supported in their pursuit of knowledge, as well as, inspired by their surroundings and peers.
