High Frequency, Sight Words and Fry Lists - So Many Choices
There are many different lists you can find on the internet that provide good words for spelling practice. It can be confusing because they go by many different names. We would encourage you to practice with the Fry lists because they contain words that kids will see most frequently in their reading and will need to spell most often. They are often words that break the rules and need to be "memorized". We recommend focusing on lists 100-400 for most third graders. We have also included a list of Superkid memory words that students learned in primary grades.
