Coach Woodman brings a wealth of experience and passion to the Heritage High School girls’ golf program. A dedicated educator and coach, he has been involved in high school athletics for over 15 years, serving as a football coach, assistant principal, and social studies teacher before stepping into the role of head coach for the Eagles' golf team.
A lifelong sports enthusiast, Coach Woodman grew up around golf, starting with spending his summers as a Caddie at the old Green Gables Country Club. He re-discovered his love for golf in recent years and quickly developed a deep appreciation for the game’s strategy, skill, and mental toughness. As a weekend hacker, he understands both the challenges and rewards of the sport and is committed to helping his athletes develop their skills, confidence, and sportsmanship on and off the course.
Beyond coaching, Coach Woodman emphasizes a team culture built on integrity, perseverance, and continuous improvement. His goal is to inspire each player to reach her full potential while fostering a lifelong love for the game.
When he’s not coaching or teaching, you can find him enjoying a round of golf, spending time with family, or looking for ways to improve his short game.
Coach Woodman would like to thank his amazing wife Julie, and his two daughters Annie (12) and Emilia (7) for allowing him to pursue his passion of coaching and helping these young women grow their love for the game.
