Sources of Strength

Sources Showcase Night Presentation

What is the purpose of Sources of Strength group at HHS?

This group helps to spread the word about the various SOURCES of STRENGTH to help during hard times. This is done through various campaigns and events.

What do Sources members do?

Be a source of change by helping to prevent suicide through increasing awareness of SOURCES of STRENGTH within each one of us.

Sources members are NOT Peer Counselors.

Sources of Strength members help connect those who may be struggling with a Source of Strength and if need be with a trained mental health professional.

Our mission is to:

  • Spread Hope, Help, and Strength into every corner of our community.

  • Help students and staff turn to their strengths and their supports that are all around. We are Connectors to Help and Strength.

  • Recognize that student voice has great power and we use it to BREAK the SILENCE when someone is struggling, and to connect them to the help they need and deserve

Vision

  • We believe that many strengths are more powerful than one, and our united goal is to activate and mobilize these strengths in ways that positively change individuals and communities.
