Incoming 9th Grade Registration

Information for the Class of 2025

Welcome to the Registration Information Google Site for the incoming 9th grade Class of 2025. This information was presented to students and their families on Tuesday, February 2. Please refer to the Registration Presentation, all Registration Documents, and the Prospector for registration information. Counselors will also be available on Saturday, Feb. 6 and Tuesday, Feb 9, for drop in Google Meet sessions. Refer to your email on how to access those links.

Interested in taking an AP class or an Honors Class? Refer to the information below for course specifics and general AP information. All students who want to take an AP class must complete the AP Agreement, as well.

Registration Presentation for Incoming 9th Graders

Honors Math Information

Testing dates for incoming freshmen who are enrolled in any of the following:

  • out-of-district public middle schools (including STEM)

  • private middle schools

  • Littleton Academy or Littleton Prep

Please plan on attending either Monday, April 12; Tuesday, April 13; Wednesday, April 14; or Thursday, April 15, 2021 from 4 - 5:30 pm at Heritage High School in the Second Floor Lecture Hall for a written exam. The student will need to bring a pencil and a calculator. All current Algebra I students will take the Honors Geometry Entrance Exam. This exam mostly covers Algebra I skills such as solving equations and linear functions.

All current Geometry students will take the Honors Algebra II Entrance Exam. This exam has two big sections: Algebra I and Geometry. The Algebra I portion covers a full year of Algebra I from solving equations to factoring quadratics. The Geometry portion includes (but is not limited to) vocabulary, angle relationships, similarity, and right triangles (including SOHCAHTOA). If students are looking for Algebra practice, we recommend they check out IXL for skill practice.

9th Grade Honors English

To get information about the 9th grade Honors English program, please follow this link to the two documents posted on the Language Arts Department page. These letters will help teachers and students work together to determine readiness for English 9 Honors.

AP Human Geography

If you are interested in taking AP Human Geography as a freshman, please make sure to read the Intro Letter and complete the Student Self-Assessment Form.

To also help you make an informed decision there will be a virtual informational meeting on Thursday, February 4, at 6 pm. Please RSVP for this session by filling out this Google Form.
