I was born in Redwood City California, moved to Colorado in the 10th grade and attended Highlands Ranch High School. My family is in the image on this page. My wife Sarah, Megan, Allie (17), Drew (13) and Libby (11). We also have a 3 year old chocolate lab named Reese. I love to camp, fish and hike. My free time at home is spent building plastic military and sci-fi models.

Why I Teach:
To make connections while helping students grow with confidence to face whatever challenge is next. These connections can be between people or between content and individuals. Things matter. Interactions, behavior, learning and growing… They all matter. People matter. Growth matters. People are more valuable than the world tells them and I want to help them learn that truth.
