About Us

I am beyond excited to begin my 20th year in education as a kindergarten teacher at Gaskill Elementary! This will be my third year teaching at Gaskill. I attended Colorado State University for my Bachelor’s in English Education with an emphasis in Biology. I attended the University of Colorado at Denver for my Master’s degree in Linguistically Diverse Education and an endorsement in Elementary Education. I began my career as a preschool teacher at Advantage Learning Center in Lakewood. In LPS I have taught at Goddard Middle School, Field, Hopkins and TOPS as an English Language Development teacher. My favorite of all levels is kindergarten because I love how rapidly their minds are growing both academically and socially. Seeing a child’s eyes light up when making connections and understanding new concepts makes my teacher's heart grow! I am passionate about making learning fun and engaging!

I am a native of Colorado and grew up in Broomfield. I enjoy traveling and spending time outdoors with my husband and 15 year old daughter. We have a spoiled kitty named Bella Jane. When I am not teaching you might see me reading, cooking, hiking, paddle boarding or taking a workout class. My teenage daughter is active in the theater community so you just might spot me at a musical or play around town. I am looking forward to a joyful year in kindergarten creating many fond memories!

Hello!  My name is Melissa Tardif and I am thrilled to be a kindergarten teacher at Gudy Gaskill Elementary School.  I am so excited to be opening this new school and part of its history!  This is my 17th year of teaching and my 10th year teaching kindergarten.  I am a proud Colorado native, LPS graduate, and CSU Alumni.  I love teaching kindergarten and I believe it to be a sacred year that I am honored to share with you and your child.  In kindergarten, children begin their education paths and it is my goal for every child to leave me with a passion for learning, an enthusiasm for school, and memories to last a lifetime.  

When I am not teaching I enjoy spending time with my family; my husband, three children, and 2 pups.  I love to run, cook, do yoga, and read.  My happiest place is at the beach!  I look forward to meeting you and having a wonderful year together!

My name is Aubree Woltkamp and I am so excited to be part of the Gudy Gaskill family! This is my 11th year teaching and my second year in LPS! I began my teaching career in Denver Public Schools and then have been in Jeffco Public Schools for 8 years. 

I have lived in Colorado since I was eight and have never wanted to leave again! I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with my Bachelor’s in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Language Arts.

I love teaching kindergarten! I enjoy working with the kids and watching them learn and grow. I am excited to get to know each child and I love helping them develop a love of learning.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, and enjoying a good book! My husband, Jon, also works in education and we have a son, Ethan, and a Boston Terrier, Cooper.

I am looking forward to an amazing year together!
