Use this link to access Google Classroom:
Students will be given the Google Classroom codes once school has started and they have checked out Chromebooks. No assignments using technology will be assigned until then.
Parents
Once your student has joined a Google Classroom, they can invite you to join as a Guardian. If you are unsure how to do this, email me at chenderson@lps.k12.co.us and I can invite you to as well. Once you've joined for one of your student's classes, you can choose to receive Guardian Summaries daily or weekly (as long as the teacher has turned on that setting). To see the full Google Classroom, you will need to login through your student's account.
Welcome to Advisory! I am excited to work with you over the next four years as you grow in your leadership at Heritage High School.
Course Description
The Student Government Advisory was created to provide a vehicle for students to learn and teach leadership skills through school-wide events. Advisory meets two times per week: Monday and Friday after 1st or 2nd period classes. The time frame is 30 minutes of advisory time. Students will use this time to: participate in leadership and life lessons, plan activities for the rest of the student body, and engage in collaborative team building activities and games. Student Government must be the first priority for each member when in advisory during these days.
The Heritage High School Enrichment class was created to give students structured time during the week to support their individual learning needs. Enrichment meets two times per week: Tuesday and Thursday after 1st or 2nd period classes. Students will use this time to: meet with a teacher, work on homework, read, use IXL or Khan academy, etc. These two days will be silent, individual, self-paced academic days where students can choose which option will best fit their needs during that time. If students are not being called in by a teacher during Enrichment time, they need to be prepared by bringing whatever materials they need to work on during Enrichment.
