Teaching Experience
After completing student teaching in Jefferson County School District, I moved to Eagle County and taught for one year at Battle Mountain High School. I decided to move back home to Denver and spent the next 12 years teaching and serving as a teacher leader at Abraham Lincoln High School. I have taught Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus and AP Calculus AB.
The 2024-2025 school year is my second at Arapahoe High School.
Why I Teach
I have always enjoyed learning and the excitement of new challenges. While I think I always knew deep-down that I would one day become a teacher, I officially decided to become a high school mathematics teacher during my first year of college. Math has always been my favorite subject and I enjoy helping students to understand different concepts in math.
Throughout the year, my goal is to help each of my students develop their own mathematical identities and realize their potential as mathematicians. I enjoy looking for new ways to connect the content to students' lives and interests and creating opportunities for students to engage with one another in a supportive community.
