Coaching Staff

Coach Hayes is the Head Boys and Girls Varsity Coach. Hayes has been coaching for 16 years, amassing over 30 seasons in high school soccer, as well as experience as a club coach, skills trainer, Camp Coach/Director, and youth coach for Lollipops and Cubbies. Coach Hayes holds his "C" License, Premier Diploma, and Masters Degree in Soccer Coaching (yes, it's real), along with other minor coaching licenses. This is Coach Hayes' first year as the Head coach of both boys and girls programs, after being a player for ABK, assistant and head coach at other high schools, and most recently being an assistant at Arapahoe. Hayes is also a PE teacher at the school and looks forward to continuing the strong legacy and tradition of the ABK program. 

Coach Winn has been an assistant varsity coach for the girls program since the early 2000s (minus a couple years when teaching out of state or a nearby high school). Coach Winn has also coached for Littleton United and Colorado Rapids. Coach Winn is an Arapahoe Graduate and an ABK alumni.  In 1995, Winn won a state championship as a player and then helped coach a state championship team and a couple of runner up teams. Coach Winn is also a Social Studies teacher at the school.  Coach Winn loves being a Warrior and looks forward to upholding the traditions of ABK soccer.

Coach Bryan Howey enters his 7th year as a coach with ABK. Coach Howey was a standout player for ABK during his high school years, earning the accolade of 2nd Team All-State. Bryan played at all three levels during his journey in the ABK program and played basketball at Arapahoe in his Freshman and Junior years as well. Following high school, Bryan played two years of club soccer at Florida State University, allowing him to continue to refine his knowledge of the game. Notably, he was awarded Regional Offensive MVP. With a keen understanding of the game and a passion for player development, Bryan has successfully guided aspiring athletes through various levels of competition. He believes in a holistic approach to player development, emphasizing not only technical and tactical aspects of the game but also fostering qualities of sportsmanship, leadership, and resilience. He is continuing his education as a soccer coach through the licensing offered by US Soccer and is working toward his D license. As a high school soccer coach, Bryan is committed to imparting the knowledge and skills acquired throughout his journey.

Coach Sivess recently joined the ABK coaching staff in the fall of 2023. He brings over a decade of coaching experience, primarily at the competitive club youth level. He holds a United States Soccer C License, was part of the ABK program in the late 90s, and played at the Division III collegiate level. As an Arapahoe alum, Coach Sivess enthusiastically embraces what it means to be a Warrior and is dedicated to continuing ABK's tradition as the premier high school soccer environment in Colorado.

Coach Baker’s soccer coaching journey began with a girls' U10 team in Seattle, Washington, sparking his love for coaching. With 11 years of experience as an assistant and head coach for boys' soccer and 5 years for girls' soccer at Arapahoe. Beyond the soccer pitch, Coach Baker holds a master's degree in clinical mental health, leveraging his expertise to delve into the mental side of athletics. He has been working with athletes of all levels, helping them navigate the complexities of both life and sport. In addition to his coaching role, Coach Baker serves as a part-time counselor at Arapahoe.  Moreover, he runs a private practice, where he engages with individual clients. As a former ABK player Coach Baker loves giving back to the program that has given him so much.

Coach Mack grew up in Northern VA where she was a 4-year varsity player and two time state champion for the Battlefield HS soccer team. She went on to play 4 years at Virginia Wesleyan University winning an Old Dominion Athletic Conference Championship and making 2 NCAA tournament appearances. At VWU she earned Bachelors degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science and gained experience coaching and holding camps for soccer players ranging 5 years old to high school. She is passionate about mental health and works for the organization, Morgan’s Message, that focuses on equalizing the treatment of physical and mental health in student-athletes. This is her second year coaching at Arapahoe after one season as girls C team assistant and boys JV assistant. She looks forward to continue coaching for ABK and the amazing program that has been established. 

Coach Schroeder has been coaching for 10 years with ABK. In that time he has been a Varsity boys assistant, C level boys and girls assistant and head coach, and JV boys head coach. He helped guide the ABK boys to a state title in 2019 and the girls to a number of state final appearances. He played for ABK and has been around ABK soccer his whole life. Coach Schroeder is passionate about growing scholar athletes and helping teams come together to realize their full potential.
