Coaches

Coach Pacione enters his 7th year at Lake Park and 3rd as head coach. At Lake Park, he has coached sprinters, jumpers, and hurdlers to 3 all-state honors, 11 state qualifiers, and 23 individual conference titles. In 4 years coaching in the NCAA, he coached athletes to 11 All-American honors and 5 Olympic Trials. 

He is former track athlete for Lake Park ('10) and was on the 2010 state championship team.

Coach Juraska enters his 28th year at Lake Park and is in the Illinois Track Coaches Hall of Fame for his accomplishments as a pole vault and high jump coach. He has coached Lancer athletes to 7 individual state titles and 26 all-state honors. His athletes own every pole vault and high jump school record, and he was a critical member of the coaching staff for all 5 state titles in team history.

Coach Kaberna enters his 20th year at Lake Park. At Lake Park, he has coached jumpers and throwers to 5 state championships and 20 all-state honors. He has made an immediate impact in 3 years as throws coach with 9 state qualifiers, 4 all-state performances, and 1 state champion. Kaberna's jumpers broke every school record in long and triple jump and he was a critical member of the coaching staff for 4 state titles in team history. 

He is a former track athlete for Lake Park ('99) and was a member of the 1997 state championship team.

Coach Rizzi enters his 2nd year at Lake Park as the sprints coach. He made an immediate difference to the program, leading the sprinters to a school record in the F/S 4x200m, 3 conference titles,  and 26 all-time school top tens. Prior to coaching high school, he trained athletes at Get Fast for 4 years.

Coach Ivory returns for Lake Park after being a staff member for our sectional title in 2022. In the hurdles, she has coached 4 all-state, 7 state qualifiers, and 5 conference champions. 

She is a former track athlete for Lake Park ('04) and holds the school records in all hurdle events.

Coach Villa enters his 1st year coaching at Lake Park. He was an All-GLVC runner at Lewis University.

Coach Probst enters his 5th year coaching sprints and hurdles at Lake Park. He has coached athletes to 2 conference titles and helped use his experience as a college hurdler to mentor the athletes. Probst's 3 sons were all members of the LP track team and his son Nathan is our school record holder in the 300 hurdles. 

Coach Oldenburg enters his 2nd year coaching distance at Lake Park. 

He is former track athlete for Lake Park ('11) and was on the 2010 and 2011 state championship teams.
