2023-2024 School Year

Hi! I am Ruth Keesling, an interventionist at Clyattville Elementary School. I taught full-time for 32 years before retiring in 2018. I really missed the students and other teachers, so for the last 6 years I have been substituting and working as an interventionist.  I LOVE CES!

I graduated from Peru State University in Nebraska, then went on to earn two Masters’ Degrees from The University of Nevada, Reno, in Literacy and in Special Education. Over my career I have taught all grades from Kindergarten through Middle School in Nebraska, Germany, Georgia, and Nevada. I got to live many wonderful places as my husband had a career with the United States Air Force as an Intelligence Officer.

We have 2 children, 6 grandchildren, and 6 ½ great grandchildren! #7 will be born in July. We are blessed to have all of them but one granddaughter right here in this area.

My personal goal as a teacher has always been to do for my students exactly what I would do if they were my own child. It is a pleasure to see my students learn and grow!
