About Mrs. Reitz

I have been an educator for twenty-five years, teaching middle school, high school, dual credit, Advanced Placement, and college classes in English literature and composition, as well as serving as a paraprofessional and substitute teacher. This is my sixth year working at Lowndes High School.

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Education from Southwest Baptist University (Go Bearcats!) and a Master of Science in English Education from Northwest Missouri State University (Go Bearcats!). I've been married for 29 years and we have two grown daughters.

My philosophy of education, derived from many years in multiple educational venues, is very simple. I believe everyone can learn, and I believe that reading and writing are essential. These two principles have been the guiding forces behind my desire from a very young age to become a teacher, and they have shaped my career.
