Hello! My name is Courtney Pope. I am a sixth-grade teacher at Hahira Middle entering my ninth year of teaching. This will be my fourth year at HMS and I am so excited to get started!

Although I earned my degrees at Valdosta State University (Go Blazers!), I am a major Louisiana State University (LSU) Tigers football fan. Geaux Tigers! I enjoy trips to visit my family across Georgia and spending time with them. Music is very calming to me and helps me to be productive; therefore, you may be hearing some from time to time in class. I love to learn and share new facts here and there. I can't wait to learn more about you! I believe that every one of my students can learn and grow when effort is put in on both sides. Integrity & initiative are key! I value building positive and meaningful relationships with my students so that we can have a productive learning environment. 

I have a guinea pig named Calvin, but he will not be able to join us this school year.
